I have a diagnosis.

My heart's pacemaker isn't working the way it should. It's throwing up extra beats, which was picked up by the 24 hour tape. So, they're going to run an ultrasound to see how my heart's doing structurally, then run another 24 hour tape during which time I'll have to induce an episode, and then they'll decide whether it can be managed by drugs, or whether I'll need a pacemaker.

My cardiology consultant is hopeful that it's not going to come to that, but I'm not feeling too pleased right now. I went in, fully expecting to be told that it's all in my head or, at most, that's stress-induced. I wasn't expecting an actual physical, you know, thing. So, not in the greatest mood right about now.

But there is an actual thing.
Which can be sorted.

Oof. I can only imagine how stressful this is.

I guess it's good to know what's going on, but still.

Oh, no -- I am so sorry, babe. Doesn't sound like fun at all, but I agree with the other commenters: At least you KNOW, and can be treated properly now. You're young, too, sweetie; I am sure drugs will suffice! Don't despair before the final results, just don't.

::hugs you hard::

I wish you all the best in the world.

It can be fixed, though. I t can be fixed!

Have a cool drink, and breathe.

Seconding the other comments; an actual physical thing is not good but at least it's something solid and fixable. *huggles you a lot* Love you muchly.

You're in my prayers, sweetie.
