Wait. What?
This has been bugging me for a while and I've only just figured out why. S8!Wareen says that Amy saved him from death - but Warren had already turned up as the First by that point. S8 can't be operating in the same canon as S7, then, because S7 Warren was most definitely dead, not 'saved a millisecond before death' or whatever.
Also, taking away Willow having killed someone? Sucks.
On the other hand, Issue #5 was so unbelievably good it made my toes curl. The other Buffy? Underground? Living and dying in anonymity for the good of those she'll never see... ZOMG, it made my B5-raised heart jump in joy. It made me want to fic her, y'all.
What's with all the Jossverse fic bunnies? I have ideas for everything (except the things I'm supposed to be actually writing, of course. Bah.). It's 'cause I've been rewatching the entirety of the run, isn't it? It makes you want to fic things. Damn it.
Late, must be away to bed. But before I go, it suddenly occurs to me. If I link to Google.com, does that mean that I'm going to be banned? It does occasionally feature non-lj approved stuff, after all...
/sarcam.
OK, I'll stop now. :)

Thank you.
Ah, see, you say that, and then I'll hand you a 100k Snyder/Giles novel with daddy issues and octopus kink, and then you'll be sorry. Sorry, I tells you!

I HAVE NO WORDS. SRLY. It makes no sense whatso-fucking-ever. (And is further proof that S8 is NOT canon).

Issue #5, OTOH, was fabulous. The S8 comics explain how Buffy was 'aprtying in Rome with the Immortal' and still saving the world - there are several 'Buffys' around the world, pretending to be her, doing different things. #5 deals with one who is living underground (as in, several hundred feet underground), leading a fight against some icky demons. It was ZOMG so good.
Generally, the art is a little odd - it's more of an interpretation of the characters, rather than drawings of the actors. It does have some fun moments, though, including giant!Dawn, a Spike/Buffy/Angel threeway (oh yes *g*), and Willow wearing inexplicable glow-in-the-dark clothing.
