Well, I always knew he was a complete womaniser and just a scumbag to women in general, from the first issue onwards. But he was really crappy towards Boy Blue, who completed a really dangerous mission. He's not only a bad leader, he's a dangerous leader - he sends people off on missions when he doesn't really care about them, or the mission, really. Just himself. I mean, I knew he was self-centred, but not to this extent. (In my head, people who run for public office must have some sense of civil duty... right? RIGHT???)
Anyway. He's a jerk.
RE: Gepetto
But no motivation is given! I mean, no real non-psychotic motivation. Why is he doing all this? It starts off making sense, and then all of a sudden he's conquering kingdoms and killing people and not caring. I mean, the Geppetto I know wouldn't be able to cope with that on a psychological level. He'd just shut down. He's a dad, and they made him into a Frankenstein. To make him the adversary, they dehumanised him.
(This could be because I really liked Geppetto as a kid - I thought Pinnochio was really really naughty for all he did. Although that could be the influence of Communism (tm) drumming home the importance of filial duty.)
