Beta Appreciation Day

Beta Appreciation day happened yesterday, technically, but seeing as everyone else is also running late - and as it's better late than never - some thank you's:

- thank you, first off, to the very special people: the beats that I can call on time and again. selenak, monanotlisa, queenspanky and most especially athena25, Owner of the Red Pen of Doom - you guys are amazing. You help me with my brainstorming and offer encouragement and prodding with sharp sticks as when it's needed, and write long, detailed, incredibly thoughtful betas that make writing a real pleasure for me.

- thank you, also, to all those lovely ladies (& the occasional gent) who have turned up, ready with a big red pen, after I've posted a 'Help!' post. They are many and varied, but include nattydreadi, wingsmith, hobsonphile, andrastewhite, cjmarlowe and bluerosefairy. You guys rock. It's one thing to approach your normal beta readers for help - people who know you and tolerate your various idiosyncrasies - but to have people randomly give up hours of their time when you post for a beta at 3 in the morning is truly amazing. Thank you, guys, I really appreciate it.

Ladies, gents - one and all - thank you. You are the best.
