tech-thingies
14 Feb 2006 03:39 pmFirst off, happy V-day, blah blah blah. God, I am ever glad that no one at work seems to be taking notice of today's date. The most we've done is have an extra fruit bowl.
Anyway, on to the important stuff - tech-related panics!
A nice man phoned me from Orange today, wondering whether I'd like a new phone.
Um, go on then. Turns out that I can have absolutely any upgrade I could ever wish for - for free. This is because my old phone is a brick (tm), and I pay my bills on time.
So, which phone am I to choose, flist? I know not this thing you call technology. I am very happy with Nokia at the moment, but then there's the Motorola pebl thingie that looks endearingly cute, and, um, I need a phone that i can actually use, as opposed to one I'll be scared of. I'd also like it to survive a drop-kick, or, um, if I were to accidentally drop it out of a window, say. Nothing that breaks as soon as you look at it.
Come on, tech-savvy people, comment!! The tech man is phoning me back this evening, with a menu of things I can have for free, including discounts galore. How to choose?
