Sewing!foo
16 Jul 2006 10:52 pmToday was spent sewing various bits and pieces for several people's Maelstrom costumes. Don't ask me what maelstrom is, I don't know, only that it involves costumes. And camping. So I have been fiddling with the ready-made kimono-style robes
athena25 ordered a week or so ago - seeing as how they are made for someone six sizes larger than she is - and, having taken them in by 16 metres, I made insta!obi today. Insta!obi is just like regular obi, except that one has to be able to put it on without it taking six days, i.e. I'd have to cheat. Some hooks and eyes and bubble wrap later (don't ask) I had an obi that would maintain the correct box-shaped bow on the back and yet would be simple enough to put on. I is win.
I also made a medieval tunic and an ankle-length cloak for Fliss's outfit. I am so win I do not have the words. To cap off the win, I took up the new trousers I'd bought so I could actually wear them. Why are all trousers made with an inside leg measurement of 4586452629inches? Why? Anyway. All fixed now.
Did I mention the sewing!foo? Oh yes.
I also finished Multiverse. That was... less successful. *frown*
Gonna go bed now, but before I do, why did no one tell me of the pretty that is jack davenport? bad flist. no cookie.
