An awfully big adventure

I spent today packing. I have two suitcases and two carry-on bags, which is perhaps more luggage than I have ever attempted to take any place in my entire life. I emigrated with fewer possessions. It boggles my mind how I can possibly need this much stuff, although I am marginally appeased that at least half of the larger suitcase and one of the carry-on bags is full of work-related nonsense. One of these days I shall travel without a laptop and I shall die happy.

Tomorrow, I start my ridiculously convoluted journey to Ouagadougou, so I shall say goodbye and adieu now. I shall take many, many pictures, and shall inflict them on you upon my return. Have a lovely time, everyone, I will be back in a month!
