On to 'Blue Mars', now...
12 Dec 2004 04:20 pmKinkfest was dull, according to
athena25 and boyf, so I did not miss much by not going. Instead, I spent the evening contemplating why Sax and Ann have to get together (two chapters in 'Blue Mars', and it has become quite a strong need). Because, well, they're both strong and idealistic and although they disagree completely, they don't just yell at each other and walk off, they respect the other's opinion. Forget this Frank/Maya/John Boone nonsense; if Ann and Sax had started off trying to run Mars as a partnership, I bet that they would have come up with a decent compromise. If Robinson doesn't do something about their animosity before the end of the trilogy, I'll eat my hat.
