But it RAINED. ALL THE TIME. And we had to wear that awful kit... knickershorts, for crying out loud, whose good idea was that??

*scowl* We didn't stop even if it was chucking it down. The only time we got out of it was when it snowed, or if it was so cold the pitch froze. The PITCH FROZE. And us out there, in tiny skirts, with bright blue knickershorts showing, and tiny thin airtex t-shirts.
It's a wonder any of us survived.
(Favourite call of the gym mistress: "If you're cold, you'd better run to warm up!")
