Oh, nifty! I wanted to take Arabic as well, but the class filled up before I could sign up. I'm going to take it in January when the next session starts again. Let me know how it goes and what you think of it!

p.s. where are you taking it? I'm planning to take it at my college's modern language centre.

I'm very excited about it, although I'm not looking forward to spending a small fortune on the textbooks. The dictionary alone costs £50! I'm hoping that I'll be able to get away with the concise dictionary, as I'm only a beginner. It looks hard, but I'm all a-buzz about it.

I'm taking it at the LSE - mainly because as an alumnus, I get the discounted rate, which makes a year's tuition reasonable. Plus, they offered it as an evening course, which was sort of a requirement for me!

Hey, I just saw that you're at King's College, that's just down the road from me! We should totally meet up for coffee and fannish chatter.

(And if you have your heart set on Arabic starting now, the LSE language centre still has some places open, I think. University of London students get the tuition for a lot less than members of the public - have a look at the language centre pages. You'd need to attend an introductory session, and the last one's next week, on Friday, I think - the centre will have more details if you're interested.)

If I was an LSE member, it would be cheaper to take it at the LSE. But as a UoL student, it's actually cheaper to take it at King's. About £60 cheaper. But the advantage to taking it at LSE is that I can take it now instead of waiting. So hmm, I dunno. I'll have to ring them on Monday to ask for details.

Yep, I'm at King's, but not sure which campus you're near. I'm at the Waterloo and Guy's campuses, which are near Waterloo stn and London Bridge stn. I'd love to meet up and stuff. :) I'm going on holiday next week but perhaps the week after?

Well, my new work will be at Waterloo, and the LSE is at Aldwych, so King's is very near indeed.

The week after is unfortunately my last week at my current job, and I am booked solid - but things should be a little calmer after that. Drop me a line when you are back - and enjoy your holiday!
