I feel sorta sick. Vaguely flu-like symptoms. Most likely flu. Could also be malaria. *shrug* Stupid mosquitos.

Anyway! Some pics from my visit. More pics, and lots of commentary, later.

Very few people drive cars in Burkina; nearly everyone we saw was on a bike or motorcycle. And not a single helmet in sight!

Our hosts organised a traditional Burkinabe meal for us, with some absolutely delicious dishes cooked by our host's mother in law!

One of the dishes was hare stew...

Ouagadougou Cathedral.

With one of the girls at the 'C'est ma vie!' stall in the FESPACO market. It's a condom-promotion initiative, and she's bedecked with condoms and condom-themed stickers. We were sickered all over as well!

A craftsman at the Village Artisinal, in Ouagadougou.

Cosmopolitan Ouaga.

The National Museum - or one of its buildings. There were half a dozen of these dotted around a desert landscape, with each one having a different theme. This is the mask building.

Everyday life.

I'll cover my trips outside of Ouaga later. I haven't included pictures of the first aid courses we took - let me know if you'd like to see those! I also have lots more pictures of the whole group - although it was just myself and colleague T by the end, we started off 30-strong at the beginning of the stay...
