Now, the question is, which row, column, or diagonal do I go for first? It's multi-fandom, so anything goes...
The the first thing I have written that fits it (although I didn't necessarily think about it, but I guess that doesn't matter?) is:

All in all, you seem to have some tough ones at strategic locations: Hooker AU? Fuck or die? Genderswap??? R1, R5 and C5 are my personal favorites (sleeping arrangements; truth serum; first times: ooh!); R1, R3, C1 and C5 seem doable too.

If you want to write, write! There's loads of ficathons out there at any one time, srsly, sign up...

I know, it's a little scary. I like R1 and C3 (it's the fairy tales!) and R5 also seems doable...
Genderswap is a little scary, but I did a little drabble of that and it wasn't so bad... I suppose I could give it another (more expanded) go. Yearning and obliviousness might be a little hard, as I don't really tend to go for the 'pining away', but the obliviousness is easy enough. Fuck or die's pretty fun, especially if you pick characters who are totally not the usual pretty types written in fuck or die fics. But Hooker AU... that would be the complete no-no for me, I think. *shudder* It's a squick for me, no idea why, but the mere idea makes me shudder.

Ah, if it were that simple! The problem is that most of those ficathons have a deadline, and I'm a disaster at that. Because it takes me weeks to finish a single fic, and I'm *not* someone whose writing style improves under pressure. Plus, I never signed up for a ficathon before, and I'm kind of flailing in panic at the thought of doing it. That's why I liked this one: no obligations, no prompters whose expectations you need to live up to... Seemed ideal!

Date: 2009-06-27 11:54 pm (UTC)I was just about to ask which Carnivale fic, 'cause I couldn't remember doing one for yuletide. *g* I get really sugared up after handing in my assignment and pinch hit non-stop for more or less then entire week beforehand, it's awesome fun but I don't get to remember any of it...

There's loads of claims tables out there, though... true, you normally have to limit yourself to a single fandom, but you can take as long as you want on it. The Londo and Bristow/Sloane claims I'm writing have been underway for over three years.
