OMG how it's been ten years?? I had already fled England, but I remember being terrified for my cousin who still lived there, and was very likely to have been on the street, and not being able to contact him and wanting to swim back to strangle him when I finally got hold and he'd been sleeping and unaware of everything.
Yeah, it still feels so immediate. I was trying to call my parents to let them know that I was ok, but the service was down. They were abroad, so all they heard were that bombs had gone off and were trying to get hold of me/my brother in a panic (my brother was fine, he was in Scotland) so it was a bit of a scramble to get through to anyone.
