Hello dear writer! H/C is my absolute favourite, and I will frequently seek it out in all its overblown, high octane angsty glory. So just by writing some H/C you have already made me happy! I have thoughts and suggestions about the various fandoms below the cut, but I want to start off by saying that 1) I will happily re-read my favourite characters being hurt and then comforted in practically any situation, so you are guaranteed a happy reader, and 2) did I mention that just featuring h/c makes me happy? Write what works for you and I am certain to adore it!

Some broad likes and DNWs -

Likes:
1. Gen, slash, het, whatever. I'm fascinated by conflict and I tend to focus on the relationship that has the most conflict, the most uneven power dynamics, or the most changes in the dynamic. If you want to stick to canon and focus on gen drama, that will make me just as happy as full-on shippiness. And yes - for all the characters/relationships I've requested, I would be thrilled with shippiness, if you feel inspired.
2. Plot! I do love me some plot. Failing that, angst! Banter! Snark! Characters being their usual selves makes me happy.
3. First-times in shippy fic. I tend to be less interested in a couple after they have been happily settled or wrapped up in each other, and a lot more interested in how couples get together. If it's an established relationship, I like the conflict in the relationship - maybe something unresolved between the couple, or some bone of contention that could drive them apart.
4. Conflict. I like change in fic - change in relationships, change in preconceptions, change in situation, good old-fashion action-adventure - and having characters disagree or take opposing sides.
5. Protectiveness / family / team / squad feelings. People having each others' backs.
6. The 'enemy mine' trope - enemies forced to work together, enemies being attracted despite their history, one character forced to look after someone they hate, everything along those lines.

Do Not Wants:
1. Fluff (i.e. "all comfort, no hurt")
2. “All hurt, no comfort”
3. Chan, shota, underage, however you term it.
4. Non-con, rape, or child abuse (even as character background). If you want to go down the dub-con route (sex pollen, intoxication, uneven power dynamics) that's perfectly fine and welcomed, but please no straight-up rape scenes or characters brutalising each other.
5. Character-bashing. If I've nominated a fandom I tend to love all the characters.
6. Character death. Canon death is fine, but please do feel free to hand-wave them back to life if you prefer.
7. The common sex-based squicks - chan as mentioned, also scat, watersports, snuff, brutality, etc. I'm also not a fan of alpha/beta/omega fic, knotting, mpreg, heavy BDSM, etc.
8. Universe-altering AUs, e.g. everyone is a merman, rule 63, no powers, history has been changed significantly, mundane AUs, high school settings etc etc. This is primarily because the conflict between the nominated characters is so situation and history-specific, that moving them to another setting would mean it's difficult for me to engage with them as the same characters with the same messy history. I'm perfectly OK with canon divergence AUs though (e.g. what if character X makes choice Y instead of choice Z), the closer they are to when the fic takes place, the better. “Everyone lives” AUs are totally ok and welcomed though!

Seafort Saga - David Feintuch
Nicholas Seafort/Edgar Tolliver (hurt Tolliver)
Nicholas Seafort/Edgar Tolliver (both hurt)

Tags: Character is Injured while Protecting Another, Feverish Confessions, Kidnapped and used as leverage against the other character, Physical Intimacy Leads To Hesitant Emotional Intimacy, Stranded Behind Enemy Lines, Blackmail, Guilt over Other Character's Sacrifice, Hiding Injury To Keep Other Character From Going Ballistic, whipping/flogging

I'm not going to lie, every time I've requested Nick & Tolliver in the past I've somehow magically received fic for them, which has only encouraged me to request them time and again. And h/c is a trope made for these two! Nick suffers so beautifully. But he angsts even more beautifully, so basically I want to torture him some more by taking Tolliver away. (Not permanently. Please don't break them forever!) (And, yes, I wrote these two a love letter about ten years ago and I stand by it.)

Prompts:
1) Someone figures out that they can lean on Nick by leveraging Tolliver. They are 100% correct, but also it was 100% a mistake. Maybe it's a straight-up bad guy kidnapping Tolliver, maybe it's a political rival getting back at Nick by trying to have Tolliver re-assigned, whatever you like. Kidnapping, blackmail, anything where someone attempts to take Tolliver away by some nefarious means.
2) But wait! Maybe there is betrayal, and they are stranded behind enemy lines, or on a mountain, or wherever. And Tolliver is injured saving Nick. Cue guilt! Cue huddling for warmth! This is my go-to prompt because it has happened in canon repeatedly, only of course it's Nick who is perpetually injured.
3) Tolliver is sick. Feverish. Frightened. Truthful. I think he has to take on so much of Nick's emotional stress that having it be Nick who has to be emotionally supportive and/or sensible and/or brave would be lovely to see.
4) They... get drunk? And have sex? And then... there is the fall-out of that. Nick is severely repressed, he probably doesn't react well. But eventually they come to an understanding (i.e. Nick sorts himself out and stops taking everything out on Tolliver, stop it Nick).
5) So... Tolliver ends up injured for Reasons, and he doesn't tell Nick, for Other Reasons, but Nick somehow finds out. (For instance, some Dastardly Bad Guy has Tolliver whipped, which would be bad and upsetting to Tolliver for many, many reasons.) Ooooh, boy. Nick is not happy, and takes both appropriate action, and also looks after Tolliver.

You'll note that for the above I've tagged Tolliver as hurting because, well, I want him hurting, but nothing on God's green earth can prevent Nick from immediately internalising everything and feeling All The Guilt and thereby ALSO hurting. This is 100000000% good with me. :D

I haven't really added a whole lot here because, well, I'd be extremely happy with ANYTHING more in this fandom, I love them so much and all new fic is welcomed. But basically any variant on Nick worrying about Tolliver would make me grin like a small child.

Marcus Cole/Neroon (hurt Neroon)
Tags: Enemies to Lovers - Enemy caused hurt but regrets it and tries to make amends, Using Humor To Deflect Attention From Emotional Turmoil, Character Planned to Die but Didn't, Honour stained from halting ritual combat, Physical Intimacy Leads To Hesitant Emotional Intimacy, Belligerent Pining

This is a pairing I've only recently come to. I really like Neroon to be a complete bastard. And Marcus to be so annoying that I break out in a rash. Basically what I'm trying to say is that I like them canonical, no smoothing down of their rough edges. They would be terrible together, which is why their love must be sung of in song, and I require approx 84 million versions of them getting together, ideally with increasing trauma to passersby.

Prompts:
1) OK, let's get the denn'sha prompt out of the way first. So, OK, Neroon's honour is stained, this is bad. How does he get it back? Is this still a thing several months later? is that why Shakiri rises to power?
2) Neroon survives the Starfire Wheel (because of handwavey reasons) and Delenn decides that he should recuperate, and Marcus is trying to help out and accidentally manages to injure him during a practice bout.
3) Or, Neroon's stunt may have in theory been very impressive etc etc, but in reality once he survives the Starfire Wheel, Shakiri's followers want revenge. Marcus ends up watching him.
4) IDK, Shadows go after Delenn and Neroon saves her, but is injured. Marcus is torn between feeling guilty that he didn't save Delenn, and feeling guilty that Neroon was hurt in his place, and feeling annoyed that even when bedridden Neroon is a sarcastic asshole.
5) Marcus takes great pleasure in telling Neroon about Sinclair being Valen (idk, revenge or poorly-thought out... something) only Neroon has just thrown in his lot with the Religious caste so having that land on his lap while he was busy having a revelation meant it landed a bit TOO heavily. Marcus is... conflicted.
6) *points at 'Belligerent Pining' tag* Soooo, how annoying would these two be, exactly, if they were circling each other like fluffed-up tomcats?

The thing that I love about these two is that they have the whole way of the warrior thing going on, and also are sarcastic assholes to each other and all other people. 10/10 would listen to them being rude on a loop. You can kill Neroon and/or Marcus as per canon if you prefer, but I am 100000000% ok with them being alive for Reasons. Or even just because, I will take Just Because as a valid argument.

Alfred Bester/Michael Garibaldi (hurt Bester)
Tags: Character's Blood is Valuable, Downplaying an Injury, Exhaustion, Physical Intimacy Leads To Hesitant Emotional Intimacy, Protecting a Hated Enemy, Usually Powerful Character is Helpless Due to Drugs, Loss of Powers, Hurt Character is Exhausted from Overwork, Catching Hurt Character as They Collapse

I have recently discovered that I am not alone in shipping this rarepairing, hence its now permanent place in my request list until my endless need for fic is satisfied. (Which will be never, let me be clear.)

Prompts:
1) P12 DNA is immensely valuable. Someone targets Bester while he is dosed with sleepers in S3 and Garibaldi has to rescue him. OR S5 Garibaldi is compelled to rescue him because of the Asimov. He doesn’t have to look after the bastard though, and he doesn’t... at least at first.
2) S3 Bester does a stint as their telepath-on-a-ship (maybe the Shadows regroup and attack the White Star, maybe he spends some time on the station before Z’Ha’Dum) and is exhausted after having to hold off numerous Shadow ships. Garibaldi grabs him as he collapses and gets him to rest.
3) S3 Bester pledges support for the Army of Light... and the Shadows abruptly upgrade him in their threat assessment and attempt to assassinate him. Garibaldi intervenes.
4) Bester has to scan someone/something (Shadow?) that absolutely wipes him out, Garibaldi picks up the pieces, any season whatsoever. Maybe even S5 with a serial killer or something, and Garibaldi is compelled by the Asimov (maybe Bester waves off going to MedLab?).

Basically any situation in which Bester is hurt or somehow made helpless for a time, and Garibaldi (either voluntarily, or not voluntarily to start with) ends up rescuing him or looking after him. I've tagged the shippy option here because Marcus has taught me that when you have delusions you may as well go for the really satisfying ones, but I would be happy with UST if that's the way things play out - please don't feel you need to force it, honestly having these two interact in a slightly less homicidal manner will make me happy. That said, if you look at the above & think, "excellent, and then porn!" then I will be very happy.

Holy giant tagset Batman! You can tell from my choices that Tony is my favourite, and uhhh, this show has hit him repeatedly in such specific ways that my prompts are mostly all tied in to specific episodes. But in general, Tony being injured/sick and downplaying it, plus the team as family, are bulletproof kinks for me. I've tagged Tibbs in there, but honestly although I do read Tibbs fic I love gen and hurt!Tony so whatever you go with will make me happy. All the prompts below are gen prompts and can be read either way.

Prompts:
1) Dead Air tag? This is the biggie 'trust issues' prompt for me. Tony was in the field without backup! And while I don't subscribe to the interpretation of the team being malicious, that's still a massive, massive failure and should cause huge repercussions. Let me see some of that loss of trust please! And please, do make the team make it better or at least apologise.
2) Requiem tag, Tony gets sick following his dip in the icy water, but can't take time off because of his fake dental/medical appointments in S4 and gets rapidly worse before someone cottons on.
3) Chimera tag, Tony really was sick (and really, telling someone who has had the plague to die quietly isn't, uh, the kindest thing in the world).
4) Boxed In tag, well, organising a dinner without him was rather cruel. Maybe Tony withdraws a bit from the team as a result of that joke, thinking he has over-assumed their friendship, and they're not entirely sure why.
5) Can't quite remember the name of the episode, but sometime in S4 I think when McGee tells Tony he doesn't rate his own team. Seriously, McGee, that's ridiculously harsh.

But, really, anything involving a hurt Tony would make me happy. Maybe he receives one head slap too many and ends up needing medical attention? Maybe some post-SWAK comfort? Maybe he takes a bullet for a member of the team? Whatever you like. Please do make the team knit together, though, team break-up fics make me sad.

I have so many strong feelings about Tom, hence the massive tagset. Basically I love seeing him suffer and having someone he doesn't have a good relationship with comfort him. I'd feel ashamed, but 'enemies thrown together in a small box' is a tried and tested Star Trek scenario, so clearly some of TPTB agree with me on this in general, even if we don't quite align on the specifics. I've tagged both the shippy and the gen options, and I honestly have no preference so please go with whatever feels right. The key thing for me is to have someone Tom doesn't have a great relationship with comfort him.

Prompts:
1) An epidemic hits the ship and it's all hands on deck! Tom as medical staff - how does that work? If it's early on in the series, does it help with the Maquis relationships? How does the Doctor's perception of Tom change as a result? How does Tom juggle the demands on his time? (Feel free to make him sick and hiding it as well!)
2) More medical prompts - an away team mission goes wrong, and Tom is injured. He has to direct his team to administer battlefield first aid to him, and they're not doing such a good job of it.
3) I have so many strong feelings about 30 Days I don't know where to start. Give me consequences for that, please! Maybe Tom is depressed as a result? He was the only one demoted after all, despite others having committed similar infractions. How does he feel about his place in the ship after that? If his mental health deteriorates, how would the Doctor or the First Officer (both of whom have crew welfare responsibilities) handle it? How would Janeway react if her pilot was suddenly listless?
4) Post-Investigations angst on the ship? Tom takes the brunt of Chakotay's ire.

I tend to prefer the earlier seasons (other than post 30 Days stuff) because Tom is pretty happy and settled in his position by the time Voyager gets back, so the conflict in the relationships tends to be in those early days or those hiccups in S5. If you're going down a shippy route, please don't kill off B'Elanna, a straight-forward break-up is perfectly fine. If you're going down a gen route and want to include Tom/B'Elanna in there I am also perfectly happy for that as well - I actually like them as a pairing a whole lot.

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip
Jack Rudolph & Danny Tripp & Matt Albie (hurt Jack)
Jack Rudolph & Simon Stiles (hurt Jack)
Jordan McDeere/Jack Rudolph/Danny Tripp (hurt Jack)

Tags: Unhealthy Coping Mechanisms, Prickly Relationship Between Comforter and Comfortee, Exhaustion, Alcohol Abuse/Alcoholism, Hiding Illness

Why yes, yes I do have a thing for Jack Rudolph, what gave it away? He was the best thing on the show for me. Starts off as an irritable asshole at the start, is an irritable asshole until the end, and yet somehow I still adore him, I don't know how that happened. And there is so little fic out there for him, I would be thrilled with whatever you come up with! As is traditional, he is my favourite and therefore I want him to suffer... and then have someone hug him.

Prompts:
1) Jack quite clearly has issues with alcohol. He's a fighty drunk, and he's a loyal drunk, and he's a principled drunk, which is just the horrible sort of combination you don't want in someone who has to attend a lot of parties and is also going to be fighting a massively public legal battle. What happens if he gets into a fight (verbal or real) and the press has a field day? I'm imagining Simon having quite a few words to say about it... but then backing him when he sees the context.
2) Jack burning the candle at both ends and ending up collapsing? Someone ends up looking after him (either shippy or gen, whichever inspires you).
3) Full-on prime-time drama. There's an attack, or a mugging, or something, and Jack takes a knife/bullet/other serious injury, and the others are terrified. (This may make me a monster, but I love bedside vigil fics, the angstier the better.)
4) The obligatory 'Jack is sick and doesn't tell anyone' prompt that is basically a guaranteed way into my heart. Please do make it something he can recover fully from, though.

Jack is so thoroughly in control (even when he's drunk and out of control) that seeing him hurt in some way - and seeing the S60 cast and crew step in to defend him - would make me very happy.

Blake's 7
Kerr Avon/Roj Blake (hurt Avon)
Kerr Avon & Roj Blake (hurt Avon)
Kerr Avon & Roj Blake & Jenna Stannis (hurt Avon)

Tags: Belligerent Pining, Blaming Themself for the Other Character Being Injured, Character is Injured while Protecting Another, Guilt over Other Character's Sacrifice, Hurt Character is Exhausted from Overwork, Prickly Relationship Between Comforter and Comfortee, First Aid, Downplaying an Injury

I was so undecided on what to ask for this fandom! Mainly because Avon suffers so beautifully throughout the entire run. But, in the end, I decided to go for my old stand-by of the first two seasons, where things were terrible and everything was constantly going wrong, but not everyone had died a terrible painful death. Bitter, who, me? (Why must you do this to me, show! Why!) I do love the whole run of the show, but for pure tropey h/c goodness, S1-2 deliver in spades.

Prompts:
1) Incredibly specific prompt is incredibly specific! Avon protests against a plan of Blake's that would put him (& the rest of the group) in danger. Blake overrules him and pretty much presses him into going along with it. But - oh no! Things go wrong in exactly the way that Avon predicted, and Avon was hurt as a result. Cue Blake attempting to rescue Avon while being eaten up with guilt about it all. (Shippy or not is up to you!)
2) Avon was made for the Belligerent Pining tag, holy shit. He uses good old-fashion hysterical displacement activities like, say, working through the night to keep from thinking about it a great deal, until the lack of sleep catches up with him.
3) Avon is hurt/sick, and Jenna and Blake have to take it in turns to sit with him through the night.
4) Avon has had a bit of a tummy ache for a while, but come on, he's not going to complain about that. Until - ooops - he collapses when his appendix bursts.

Honestly the above are just random prompts, you could hurt Avon in any number of ways and I would be happy. I would ask that you keep the hurt as gen, though - please no sexual assault or sexual torture - although you can be as gen or as shippy with the comfort as you like.

Sherlock (TV)
Sherlock Holmes & Mycroft Holmes (hurt Mycroft Holmes)
Tags: Prickly Relationship Between Comforter and Comfortee, Wanting To Help Hurt Character But Not Knowing How To Do It, Depression, Emotional Hurt/Comfort, Forcing Exhausted Character to Get Some Sleep, Exhaustion, Hiding Injuries, Hiding Illness, Taken Off Guard By Small Displays Of Affection, Trying to make amends for past mistakes, Trying to help makes it worse, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder - PTSD

Look, I make no excuses for needing to see Mycroft upset and/or hurt, the show gave us so little of that and I need more, dammit. Also, Sherlock is such a terrible sibling, and Eurus is of course a nightmare, I feel incredibly sorry for Mycroft for somehow being saddled with the blame for that?? Come on, Mummy and Daddy Holmes, is your child really to blame for your terrible parenting?

Prompts:
1) Mycroft is burning the candle at both ends and working himself into a nervous breakdown. Sherlock ends up needling him over one reason or another and gets strange responses, and investigates.
2) Mycroft has to do a spot of fieldwork, and it's fine, it really is. Except for a small, very small injury, really nothing worth mentioning. Except that Sherlock still likes roughhousing when Mycroft is being annoying, and the 'small injury' doesn't take kindly to being shoved into the wall and pops a whole bunch of stitches. Sherlock is a bit not good.
3) Mycroft really is completely wrung out after the whole Eurus debacle, and Sherlock decides to help. Except, he can't figure out how to help. Everything he tries seems to make things worse.
4) I will never get tired of secretly!ill Mycroft deciding that he's not going to tell Sherlock (or anyone else) about being ill, but Sherlock finding out anyway.

I genuinely love all the Holmes brothers feels for these two, Sherlock trying to look after Mycroft and being spectacularly inept at it, Mycroft preferring to chew off his own arm than open up to anyone, just give me all of the feels!
