plot - oops, my mistake. This *was* a crossover with a fanfic you were reading, right? OK - completely pointless ending, non sequiter character 'development' and Scooby Doo twists instead of your scheduled plot.

In conclusion: not impressed. Going to watch Firefly instead.

I elaborate on things here.

It's not so much the content - I love the content, and all that this could mean for Snape - but it's about the book as a book. I don't think that it's been edited properly. It's all over the place.

I got it yesterday, but I haven't started reading it yet. Trying to work up some ambition first.

Content = good. Plot A = crap. Plot B = good. Structure = unbalanced. As a provider of canon, I thought that it was fabulous. It has wonderful scenes and individual character moments. Lots of rich character development. But, structurally, it didn't work for me. It read like it had not been edited at all.

hee. it's sunday night over here. i picked it up saturday morning - and it's a short one, around 600 pages, yah - so i finished it in about four hours, nice and leisurely.

i totally get the falling asleep thing. damn book gave me a migraine. not pleased.
