I am birthday girl. I have iPod and perfume and all the best books ever. I am positively giddy with glee.

I am now going out for lunch etc.

Many things happened these last couple of days, including many plays, which I shall write about when less hung-over.

i'm not allowed pets anymore. the last time i had some, the fish got eaten by their food. i was then banned from having any more pets until i stopped perverting the course of nature.

i thought the fish had turned cannibals when the littlest ones' corpses started turning up, belly up and nibbled on. then the last guppy died, all nibbled to death. it was very sad, really. i was thoroughly reprimanded by my mother for failing to observe all laws of god and man.

or something.

Let's hope you're not reincarnated a Guppy. That's a very sad story though; perhaps you could have it serialised into a Hollywood blockbuster - "the day the Guppies died", or some such?

you're looking at it all wrong. it's obviously a tale of how the brave underdogs - The Courageous Bloodworms - overcame all odds to squash / eat / mutilate their oppressors and promote democracy, capitalism and The American Way.

The guppies will probably have to be communist.

(Actually, thinking on it, seeing as they were owned by a communist child, they actually were, indeed, Communist Guppies.)

Wow, that could be a 'based on a true story' and everything.

Interesting that a selection of detritus eating bloodsuckers are in the role of the Americans. I say nothing. It's certainly a compelling storyline though.. I'll be sure to go and see it; it can't be any worse than "Fantastic Four". *sigh*

i still haven't been to see it. i have read some truly fascinating reviews of exactly how bad it is, though.

i re-read 1602 and had fun with the Fantastick instead.

is it truly as awful as legends say?

You know, at first i thought you were talking about the original 1602... then i bought myself a copy of 'a new world' - did they forget something, maybe? like... script? there were about three words in there, and loads of pretty art. which, ok, fine, but where's the plot?

and it's being done by mike carey. mike, seriously. i expected better.
