I was hideously domestic today. I went out shopping in the January sales and returned, triumphant, with a cassarole dish and a mixing bowl (which are admittedly incredibly pretty and make me want to be some sort of scary perfect 50s housewife), some kitchen roll and some hang-around-the-flat skinny t-shirts.
Oh, yeah. And curlers, hair spray and other girlie things.
Plan of action? Put on 'Closer' and do my nails, whilst flicking through hair magazines to work out the precise cut I'm having done in a few days. I want it to be long enough to do in 40s curls - glossy, glamorous and hopefully not laborious. I have decided that straightening my hair, whilst it was fun for about three minutes, is clearly never going enter my morning routine, no matter my intentions. For one thing, I've no idea where I put my straighteners in the move, and haven't missed them for over three months - which indicates that straight hair is perhaps not the way to go.
Dita Von Tees? Is the way to go.
I also need some more pretty underwear. But that is a shopping trip for another day.
Tomorrow, I shall use my fabulous new mixing bowl to make pancake batter, from which I shall make pancakes. And then eat them. Whilst wearing my new cute t-shirts and silk slippers.
Did I mention I love being on holiday?
