S2 LOST thoughts (spoilery)

I have my house back! *squees excitedly* Everything is back in place, and I'm catching up on all the cleaning that had to be put on hold for the installation of the new boiler. Also, I'm c. 7,300 words into the dreaded dissertation of DOOM, and at the point where I need to print it off because it's just too damn large and unwieldy to view otherwise. So, that's good. Hoping to get everything except the conclusion done today, so I just have that to finish off tomorrow.

But, in the meantime, I've been a-watching LOST season 2, and have some very very very important comments to make, namely:


1. Sawyer and Kate when she's cutting his hair and helping him exercise his shoulder are adorable.
2. Sun and Jin were intriguing in S1, but in S2 they become absolutely fabulous. No, seriously. And Sun's pregnant! Also, how cute is it that Sawyer's so pleased for her? And that his nickname for her is 'sunshine'? And Jin is just too pretty for words, and also *squees some more* awww!
3. You know what? I like Ana Lucia. There, I said it, go ahead and stone me. I've always had a bit of a weakness for Michelle Rodriguez from The Fast and the Furious onwards, so it could be that, but I just like how unapologetically tough she is. Also, the jungle!sex with Sawyer is beyond all reasonable hotness measures.
4. Shannon! Awww, Shannon. *sniff* She really, really grew on me.
5. Girl!bonding! Sun and Kate, and also Sun being nice to Ana, and any interaction between the girls, really. But why is Claire not having any girlie moments?
6. Locke is creeping me out, and I'm starting to not like him.
7. Charlie needs to be slapped, and HARD. This is mainly because I love Sun and anyone who hurts Sun has me to deal with. This goes double for Sawyer, actually, who needs all the therapy in the world.
8. Yeah, Sawyer. The bit where he's loved gby the entire island? Loved that. Loved how he couldn't stand it, either. Was also especially fond of him calling Michael Jin his friends when being ordered around by Ana. And Michael cradling his head when he collapses? Beyond sweet.
9. The Jack/Kate kiss? Boring.

10. In conclusion, sexual relationships involving Kate? Old. Very old. Bored of it now, either gimme some Jack/Sawyer/Kate (in that order, and that arrangement) or just stop it. This has nothing to do with Kate, btw, as she's fabulous and her girl!bonding moments made me love her a great deal. However, I'm really bored of the triangle thing, and wish they'd just get over it. Instead, I'm all about the Sun/Jin, the Sawyer/Ana, the Jack/Sawyer, the Ana&Sayid, the Sun&Kate, the Hurley!!!! and Hurley/Libby (OMG she's a mental patient and now dead, whatthefuck?), the killing off several characters, and, also?

Michael. Is. Not. An. Asshole. He's just in a really shitty position.

For all those who are confused about why he did what he did? He's a father, protecting his child. I doubt that we would have blinked if Claire shot someone in order to protect Aaron. Why is it that a father's intentions are inexplicable, eh? Go, watch Alias, you'll change your minds after a while.

I really want them (Michael&Walt) to not make it off the island, and to be back in the camp, because I want them (Jack&Kate&Sawyer&everyone else) to understand the loyalties within the groups as well as between them. There's a bit too much of the 'we're all in this together' expectation going on, given the behaviour of the people in the group. How can they honestly be surprised that each of them would be willing to inflict harm on the others to protect those closest to them?
