London is covered with over a foot of snow. A FOOT OF SNOW. And that's in the built-up area where I live. God only knows what's happening in the suburbs. Needless to say, no one is going in to the office this morning, as commuting would be even more interesting that usual. Depressingly, we have excellent remote working facilities, so I do actually have to work. BUT!! SNOW!! IN LONDON!! WITH MORE SNOW TO COME!

I'm guessing now would be a good time to repent.

So what's everyone doing with their snow-day today?

It feels like I've spent two weeks in some sort of hyper-reality, and have just emerged back in the real world. Or maybe vice versa. I don't know. All I know is, it's bloody weird. It's that episode from TWW, when CJ's trying to work out what her job's gonna entail, and she's asking, "and these are the briefings for this week?", and gets the reply, "these are for today", and then when she's circling everything she doesn't understand. Just like that.

And then I go to watch some TV, and my brain breaks. I think I would have had less trouble coping with this new job if I had lj on hand to blog about it. As it is, it's like a vacation from reality. With ever-increasing piles of work. And awesomeness.

When I grow up, I wanna be just like CJ.

There are only three British actors, and they're all in the same shows.

This must be the reason why John Simm (Sam Tyler) and Philip Glenister (DCI Gene Hunt) were not only in Life on Mars together, but also State of Play, Tuesday, Clocking Off and Heartbeat. True, for Clocking Off and Heartbeat I suspect that they were not in the same episodes, but for State of Play and Tuesday they most certainly are.

I am filled with the urge to play '6 Degrees of Separation' with a whole other bunch of British actors.

Or have banoffee pie.
